- Q1. What is SSC-CGLE?
SSC-CGLE is abbreviation of Staff Selection Commission-Combined Graduate Level Exam. This exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission to recruit personnel required for various departments, secretariat, investigating agencies etc. of Central Government. This is one of those exams through which a huge number of people are recruited for central government jobs. At present, recruitment through SSC-CGLE comprises a four-tier process.

Ever since (roughly around 2010) SSC started conducting SSC-CGL exam on regular basis, more particularly every year, and a significant increase in remuneration after implementation of the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission, this exam has emerged as one of the most sought after mid-level job recruitment exams in government sector. - Q3. Who is eligibile to appear for SSC-CGL exam?

- Q4. How long does the entire recruitment process take?
The entire recruitment process, starting form release of notification to joining, takes usually a year or so.
- Q5. The areas from which questions are asked in SSC-CGLE entrance exams?
In the first two tiers of the exam, objective questions, having four options, are asked from the areas: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude i.e. elementary Math, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and English Comprehension. The third stage of the exam is a written descriptive test, which can be answered either English or Hindi. The fourth stage of the exam assesses computer proficiency of the applicant.
